At Six String Sessions, we offer one-on-one guitar lessons tailored to each students goals, learning style, and musical taste. Whether you're a beginner picking up the guitar for the first time or an experienced player looking to deepen your skills, we create a relaxed, engaging environment where progress happens naturally.

Led by professional musician and producer James Buchanan, these lessons blend practical technique with real creativity helping students not just play songs, but understand and express themselves through music.

We welcome students of all ages kids, teens, and adults and cover a wide range of styles, from classic rock and blues to pop, folk, country, and alternative.

Play what you love. Learn how it works. Develop your own voice as a musician.

Lessons focus on:

Technique & rhythm
Chords, theory & harmony
Songwriting, composition & improvisation
Alternate tunings like Drop D or DADGAD
Developing confidence, musicality & expression
Lessons are available in-person and online.

We also have experience supporting neurodivergent students, including those with ASD, and we welcome NDIS participants.
